Vintage 1977 Chevron B39 Formula Atlantic
This vintage Chevron 1977 Formula Atlantic car was restored and race-prepared by The Progress Group during 2011-12, and debuted at the Monterey Historic event Aug 17-19, 2012. The event held at Laguna Seca (Mazda) Raceway hosted a record (West) showing of 29 Formula Atlantic cars.
The Chevron factory (UK) records indicate that 16 of these cars were built, total production. This is chassis #06, driven by Didier Pironi and Bobby Rahal, and campaigned by Fred Opert Racing, the North American distributor for Chevron Cars, Ltd. during that time period.
